Any reason that steroids are being used instead of Atopica or allergy shots?

I think I'd go ahead and talk to your about this one. Could be food allergies and environmental allergies together. But if the envir. allergies were under control and now suddenly this comes up and the guess is food...the problem is that isn't typically where itching occurs from food allergies. Could be...but maybe not. Are you sure there are no flea bites anywhere? How does her skin look?

If you want to change foods to something with novel ingredients (and no chicken), that shouldn't hurt. It can take about 12 weeks to see major changes after doing that though and steroids can make them less itchy (when they have food allergies), so it may be hard to see if it is helping.
