Mine are all trained to use potty pads inside at night and w hen we're gone and to go outside with a doggie door when we're home. I don't think it confuses them at all because I never find mistakes to clean up so I know they are trained.
If I had it to do again though I would change one thing. At first I used the disposable pads and they tore them up so I went to the washable pads and it was fine...until they started mistaking my rugs as potty pads because they felt like the soft material of the washable pads. Later I found the tray that holds the disposable pads in place so I got one and started using disposable pads again and things are o.k. now. If I had it to do again I would have never started using washable pads. |
