My boys are both pad and outdoor trained. No problems. Focus on the pad training, and the outdoor part will come naturally. Be sure to praise, praise, praise for correct potties -- pad or outdoors.

Maximo took a little while to figure out that it was okay to potty outside on our walks or outings. He is still excellent about discerning when and where it is okay to potty. For instance, he know stores and garden centers are not places to do his business.
Good advice! I have a "double pottier" too. His breeder taught him to potty outside (he was a year old already) and when our needs changed, it took me about a month to get him to potty on piddle pads 100% of the time. He does both now!

Just don't take your pup out until he has full immunity. You don't want to risk getting him/her sick. Good luck and Congrats!
