I have 2 rescue cats, male and female, both are fixed and 8 years old. I just discovered *massive* amounts of cat urine in my leather sofa's.
They have both been with me since kitten-hood and never had experienced a problem like this.
Both had check up's in the past 6 months and passed with flying colors. A few years ago our male cat had problems with urinary blockage and $1500 later came home happy and healthy. We now have them on perscription food for urinary tract issues and never had any problems.
They are both indoor kittys from day one and behave wonderfully.
Could this be male marking and why the sofa, love seat and chair? I really don't know where to begin with preventing this from happening again?
I'm going to take them to the vet but not sure what to expect so any advice is appreciated.
They both seem to be eating, drinking and playing as usual and honestly I'm not sure how long this has been going on as we almost never use this room. Please help
