My three most repeated phrases to my children................

"For every action, there is a reaction, for every decision there is a consequence. One can always determine if the reaction or consequence is good or bad based on their action or decision."

"You can't always get what you want" (and yes, this is often sang, and followed by "but if you try sometimes, you might just find, you get what you need, oh baby. My kids now hate that song. LOL)

and

"You can get more flies with honey"

May be cliche, but I try to remember these these phrases.

If we want the world to be a "better place" we must all be "better people".

Find that it often works out well if I am nice to someone who is irritating me, as it often turns the situation around.
