Some people can dress their full-grown dogs in them, but for most of us, only puppies will fit that size. My guess is they fit from 2-4 pound dogs. When I got Joey he was a little over 2 pounds, and no regular dog clothing would fit him, even extra small, but they do add a little weight each month, so some clothes only work for a few months. I don't suggest spending much, until after a year, and they are pretty much at their full weight by then. Here's a cute link to making a sweater out of a sock.
