I love Cesar! But I have found that his methods don't always work for my young yorkie. She is almost a year old and less than 4 lbs . . so harsh corrections are out.

But I have the same question because how DO you correct? I trained my Westie with a choke collar (per the trainer) and he is a perfect walker. We now use a harness.

I could never use those corrections on Lucy; she is too fragile. Ringo is a very sturdy 15 lb Westie.

Mainly we go with positive reinforcement. I use coins in a can when she barks too much (she hates the coins in a can). That's all I've come up with so far!
