Don't be afraid of the vets just take precautions. Do not let your puppy touch anything at the vets, especially the floors. I make sure my vet (or their assistants) or I do it, use the spray they have to clean the examination table and the scales. I always bring my little ones in a carrier and I don't let people pet them as I don't know why they are at the vets and maybe their dog is contagious. I realize some people might think I am over protective but I am certainly not going to be the cause of why one of my dogs or all of them got sick. Better to be safe than sorry.

P.S. I don't take my dogs to dog parks either because of disease.
