As I stated I am not new to breeding. I've just never bred a yorkie before. There are more things to consider when transitioning to a toy breed but the logistics are still the same. I am very well aware of estrus cycles, whelping boxes and the like. And I don't have to worry about a pregnant female as I have no female yorkies and my aussie girls are all retired. But as I stated that's all putting the cart before the horse.

Right now is my time to focus on the genetics and the proper body of a yorkie. I have owned pet quality yorkies but it wasn't really important if they had a strong gait. So as I said with him being too young to be health tested and looked at by a professional I will just enjoy him.
