I use frontline plus and heartguard plus. I would consult your vet and what they would advise you to use in your area and what would be best for your little one(s). Each state brings there own problems. Alabama is tick heaven!!!
The frontline plus really keeps them off the dogs....
Just a helpful hint for those of us that need to protect our little ones from fleas and ticks and you have multiple dogs. My vet advised me to purchase the larger doses (like for a lab) ~~~ then gave me the proper dosage to place on each dog.
Saves me a ton of $$$$$
