New Breeders and Realtively New Breeders YT is a terrific source of information. There are breeders on here that have been breeding for 30+ years, probably before some of you were even born.
They have delivered way more puppies than your vet has. Collectively, they have encountered every possible problem and situation.
Some of them could write books on breeding and charge you $20 for it. But here on YT you can get their expert advice for free, tailored to your specific situation. You can get your questions answered. They will sit up with you all night through difficult deliveries.
Whether they are giving you advice, or someone else advice, you would be wise to sit back and take notes.
Don't argue with them, don't contradict the advice that they are giving someone else.
If you are trying to help someone, and one of the experienced breeders joins the thread, step aside and be thankful for the opportunity to learn.
This is totally free education. Why would you argue with it? You'd have to pay your vet handsomely to sit on the phone with you all night answering questions.
Give them the respect that they deserve. Watch and learn and someday you might know as much as they do.
Anyone with less than 10 years of breeding is not experienced. You're still a beginner. |
