I took one of my socks (I am size 38 EU) cut, the foot of and cut 2 holes for the legs and one for the tail. Then I took one of my own pantyliners and cut it up in 4 pieces and put it in the sock.
2 days later the fancy contraption arrived in the mail, with velcrozipper and little pads of cotton. She had it on for exactly 5 minutes, then she had taken it off and was very dissatisfied with it haha
So I accepted that she liked my idea better and put on the sock again, and cut the other sock in the pair up too so we have a spare diaper

I was happy and sad at the same time. I called everyone and told them and they said uninthusiastically, "great".
