My 10 1/2 week old puppy loves Taste of the Wild--both the kibble and the wet food. Our breeder mixed Taste of the Wild and Purina Pro Plan and he ate that at her house but wouldn't touch the Purina once he arrived at our house, so he's now exclusively on Taste of the Wild and loving it.
Unfortunately I don't think most vets have very high standards for dog food. Our vet gave us a bag of Hill's for our puppy. There is NO way I would ever feed it to him! Corn is one of the first ingredients and that's a huge no-no!
