Kev- thanks for your post. I really have knothing against the Amish. I buy their products at the Meadowlands Flea Mkt. I have visited their farms and shops in PA. I am not judging them...I have researched buying puppies and hear that many puppy mills are run by the Amish in PA. It makes me nervous that all of the puppies at D&G come from the SAME breeder in PA. Look at the tags on the cages. They all have the same name. So that breeder is NOT specializing in one or two breeds, they are specializing in making a ton of money on keepig dogs in cages to be bred. When I went to the store there were more than 3 dogs in a cage. Also, the woman and daughter were not very friendly. I have been trying to find someone to sell me a healthy puppy and it is very hard. Amish or not I don't agree with puppy mills and that is what I hear comes from the puppy mills in PA. I have been incontact with the Save a Yorkie rescue and they advise not to buy at this place or to get pups from mills as they are so unhealthy. Please don't knock me for trying to do my best to get a healthy dog. I can't believe it's so hard now. But actually...years ago when I bought my cocker spaniel at a pet store I had no idea about what was going on with puppy mills...should have stayed stupid I guess. NOT...
