Let me add, if your girl is on heartworm meds. Which I usually don't administer prior to a breeding and throughout gestation period. I do continue when the pups are two weeks old. A natural way of deworming your pups. For those continue your heartworm meds. Your girls & puppies don't have worms. Well maybe tapeworms as the heartworm doesn't eradicate those. |
Thanks for the info Mary. I have always started back up after weaning. Never had worms but I will talk with my vet about starting earlier.
I think the key word is vet. I have learned that if you have a good vet they will help you through the process. And I have finally found a vet whom I can trust. I have been through many!
