I walk the dogs here everyday, my dogs and my fosters, we don't use a coupler, even though we have one. I can walk four of them at a time and am thinking about adding a fifth one to our walks. I tried the coupler and found it's just easier to walk them without one. I hold the four leash handles in my right hand, leashes extended in front of my body to my left side - the dogs are ALWAYS walked on my left side.....two in front, two in the rear....works for us
