I've tried walking Zoe for almost 2 months now (only in the yard as she hasn't had all her shots yet). But she actually walks me. I've tried repeatedly to get her behind me but she starts running all over and I wind up tangled in the leash. I've tried looping the leash around my hand so she only has a few feet of leeway but she objects and sometimes just sits and refuses to budge. Today I tethered her to me using 2 leashes..one tied around my waist and the other clipped to her harness. When she acts up I tighten the one around me so she gets only a few feet between me and her. Inside she has enough room to play or take a nap in her bed but I'm still trying to potty train her and I figured why not use the tether for both walking on a leash and potty training.
