I haven't tried this on Pita yet cuz she doesn't have dry skin but for my horses who do, after I wash them and rinse them I rinse them again with a mixture of 1 cup Apple cider vinegar to 1 gallon water, and you don't rinse that off, it makes the horses so soft and silky and helps with any skin itchies they have. of course you would have to cut the parts of vinegar and water down.
