I find it easier to use two leashes but thats just me, I know a lot of people prefer a coupler.
Armani tends to chew his leash while it is on which has led to scary moments so we use a chain leash that he cant chew. Then Chloe has a Laughing My Tail Off Leash which I love.
I usually walk one on the right and one on the left.
