It depends on what you're using it in - sometimes there's no need to defrost. With the hamburger, I almost always put it in the frying pan to warm up (it takes no time, since it's already crumbly and separated) then continue as usual with the recipe. The chicken can be thawed by putting in the microwave on defrost or low power for a couple of minutes.
