You'll be fine. Neutering will help the humping/marking behaviors, but it will be your effort in retraining him not to do those behaviors that will get him to stop. If he's marking outside, don't correct him. If he's doing it inside, then yes, correct him every time he tries to mark indoors. Kaji was neutered a few days after his bday. He marked the first day he was home (1st bday) and he did try to hump my roomie's dog. But, for the last year there has been no marking indoors, no humping either. It took time but he's a smart cookie, and Pepsi is too.
