Cry Breezy has a large abdominal tumor

We adopted Breezy when she was 6 to be a companion for our Yorkie, Edie. They love each other. Breezy was throwing up so on Sunday I took her to the emergency vet. I thought she may have eaten something she should not have.

X rays showed a LARGE tumor (3 inches by 4 inches) and her white blood cell count is very elevated. Bloodwork shows her organs are working fine, and an ultrasound today showed no apparent invasion of cancer into the organs. We could not see what the tumor was attached to in the ultrasound. No evidence of cancer spread to the chest.

We are awaiting a pathology report. It is probably cancer, but it might be contained and operable.

My poor baby is very uncomfortable, I can tell. If we can't operate, she won't last long without pain. I feel a lot of pressure to make the right decision. So far, $1400 spent and nothing conclusive.

I love this dog with all my heart. I would do anything for her.
