Welcome to yt!! I just got my furbaby two months ago so I'm pretty new to yorkies too, although I've raised other dogs before. Like someone else already said, a routine is KEY. Because your new baby is so young he/she is unable to hold their pee for long periods of time. To get into a routine I would suggest taking the puppy outside to go to the bathroom every hour until they start to catch onto the idea. I personally don't use wee wee pads because I think it's somewhat confusing for the pup. One minute you're telling me to go potty on this piece of paper inside, then you're taking me outside to potty in the grass.. sounds confusing to a little baby! :P |
