Isn't it unusual for a pup to dehydrate right after being born? It couldn't be more than a couple hours since this baby was living in water. Could it be that this pup didn't get the pre-natal nutrition the others did?
I know Betty has a heating pad and I had her set it up last night. It's one of those that isn't adjustable and I have no idea how hot they get. I did tell her to not put the pups directly on the surface of it but to use a towel or something between the pad and pups.
It's so hard to know exactly what's going on when you're not there in person.
Will be checking back for an update....praying things go well in the meantime.
