Did you ever hit Nikko when he was really young for accidents? Yell at him? Shove his face in his accidents? Did any one else in your household?
Forgive my questions if they sound insensitive, but that gives everyone a clearer idea as to whether this was a learned behavior or he's just a real shy pooper.
