All 3-4 vets so far said panacur is wonderfully safe, but susan said I believe either her dog or someone elses responded the same way as tucker, and the 10lb. dose is too strong for him. But she doesn't know how low to go.
maybe she can check with the other dog owner or Dr Gordon. Dogs with intestinal issues can go out of whack real easy on some medications. I have never dealt with panacur before I am sure internal medicine specialist will know and they may just have to balance the steroids and the panacur to get through the worms issue then taper pred later. My dog has been on temarilp for a while now and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and get them balanced and ween back to the lowest effective dose. Right now there is alot going on so you are just going to have to take good notes and work with these two people to get him balanced. Every dog reacts different to things just like every human as our bodies are unique. Just take one step at a time.
