Personalities change so much in the first few months. When I went and picked out Mya, she was quiet, laid back, and honestly just sat back and watched her brothers play and fight. She never once barked. Now, she is my little terror! She'll bark at you if she wants to play or isn't getting her way, she barks at the neighbors (that ones annoying and has to stop), she instigates fights with Oliver and literally teases him when she still has her treat and he gobbled his down (he usually steals it though, lol). Potty training has been horrid but we're finally getting somewhere.
Her breeder still can't believe the changes in her, she doesn't believe me cuz the little bugger is all nice and sweet when she's over there, lol. She is cuddly, but on HER terms. If she's tired she will come cuddle, but that's about it. She's just a baby, learning new things and exploring her new world.
Give your little one some time. She's soooo young... She has a lot more changes ahead of her. Keep training, loving, and be patient. Remember that dogs have personalities and can't be molded into what we want them to be - we need to learn to love what we've got.
Sometimes adding a 2nd yorkie can help - They help tire each other out, and I've got one independent and one glued to my hip. I love having 2 and would never go back to one. I'd wait until your little one was a little older though, and at the very least, fully potty trained. Hang in there, it will get better... my first 2 months with both dogs pretty much sucked.. and now we're into a routine and things are better.
