It's a great idea to do the test dose because some dogs (and kids) get a paradoxical reaction to the medication and it actually makes them more hyper.
thanks for the information. Three mL is going to be too much for her. She's about 4.3 or so pounds. 3mL is too much. What I think I'm going to do is give her 2mL and see if that makes her sleppy. 1.5mL didn't do anything for her. If 2mL doesn't do anything then I won't try giving her anymore. I don't want to risk it. Maybe some lavender oil or something might help. I saw Drs Foster and Smith had some wipes that you could use on a doggie carrier or car seat to help calm them down. I don't know if that works though.
