It's a great idea to do the test dose because some dogs (and kids) get a paradoxical reaction to the medication and it actually makes them more hyper. |
thanks for the information. Three mL is going to be too much for her. She's about 4.3 or so pounds. 3mL is too much. What I think I'm going to do is give her 2mL and see if that makes her sleppy. 1.5mL didn't do anything for her. If 2mL doesn't do anything then I won't try giving her anymore. I don't want to risk it. Maybe some lavender oil or something might help. I saw Drs Foster and Smith had some wipes that you could use on a doggie carrier or car seat to help calm them down. I don't know if that works though.
