Always listen to your gut. If you don't feel comfortable than DON't do it!!
I did not get Pixie spayed until 8 months and she did not have a heat before that.

I really think that you need to trust your vet when your precious baby is going under. Ask lots of questions and if you don't have peace about it find another doctor. Good luck and remember your baby can't make the decisions so you need to make sure that you make the right ones for her.
