Seems to me like you have a personal problem with the Amish (I couldn't imagine why). Ever think that maybe you could be sterotyping a group of people? If you're uncomfortable buying a dog then thats understandable, but uncomfortable because there's talk of the Amish? I've been to D&G's and not once did I see a cage with more than three dogs in it. Also, the dogs I played with were very friendly and just needed a little time to open up. I ended up purchasing a dog there, and I haven't had a single problem. The staff was friendly and they went over their 1 year guarentee with me so I could understand it. Also, all the dogs have had all of their puppy shots and deworming treatments, and have been vet checked two times before sale. Maybe you let the word "Amish" stop you from purchasing a wonderful puppy from a wonderful pet store.
