It all started on YT. I posted a forum saying that we were looking for a girl in NJ. Melissa responded half joking because she is in WV. Well I didn't mind where she was....we were willing to drive! I started talking to Melissa and knew that we wanted her girl puppy so we went for it.
From the second we started talking she has been GREAT! Explaining all different things, being there to answer any questions. She sent lots and lots and lots of pictures to keep us up to date.
Yesterday was the day! We met at an Arby's in Virginia. She was nice enough to drive 2 1/2 hours one way to meet us so we had a shorter drive. Dharma was so cute!! She handed her to me and she was so calm, not shaking, not anxious...she was perfect!! We chatted a bit and then headed back on he road to go home. The entire way home she slept in my lap or my fiance's lap (depending on who was driving). At two rest stops she went to the bathroom! She was so so calm. When we got home, we were exhausted after the 13 hour drive. We put food and water in her bowl....and she ate from it!!! We put her in her home (crate) as we cooked dinner and she did great!! By the time we went to bed, she was fine with her home. She laid down and didn't make a peep! She barked at 6am. Today she was taking her food and bringing it into her house!
Melissa has done everything we asked. She called her Dharma after we picked her name and did nothing but love her. She is such a sweet beautiful dog and we couldn't have asked for anything more from a breeder or a dog...well the only thing that would of made it better was if Melissa lived closer!
If you're thinking of getting one of Melissa's puppies, you WILL NOT be disappointed! She is a fantastic person who raises puppies that are just like her!
