We never had tapeworms with our little girl, but the first night we got our little boy, we discovered them while shaving him. We actually saw the worms crawling on his back. We looked it up online and found out they were tapeworms, and we put him in his crate next to the couch and I slept by him. The next morning, the towel we left in the crate was covered with them. Unfortunately, it was Sunday, and we had to wait till Monday to go to the vet, but it wasn't as bad Sunday. Monday came around and the vet gave us the de-worming pill and that took care of it really fast. He ended up getting them again a few weeks later, and we did another de-worming. Since then, he's been worm free for at least a year. And we have them on Sentinel and never miss, but as others have said, it doesn't protect against tapeworm.
