my pups were expensive...I have 3. my oldest came to me at age 5 as a retired champion, the breeder is a lovely, loving fantastic lady that is dedicated to bettering the breed. my middle one also has ribbons and did well in show, my littlest one I have brought home as a pet and I haven't completely decided not to show her, but its not likely as I feel already as if I run out of hours in each day.

that being said, my oldest has been diagnosed with lymphangiectasia (a protein losing entropathy). you could say I did everything right in terms of making an informed choice regarding where to get my pups from, but I think its just like us...genetics play a role, but as the end of the day, we all could face health issues that have nothing to do with our genetics and thats what has happened to my girl pup.

i guess all i am sharing is that in my expereince, it hasn't really been, "you get what you pay for."
