Merlin (15 weeks) is also chewing and gnawing a lot, it doesn't really hurt but sometimes when we play he can get a bit too hyper.
I always try to distract him then, say "No" in a firm voice, make him sit and give him a chewing toy. Also put him on his side or back helps. Sometimes I just open my mouth real wide and then he stops immediately.
It takes a lot of patience. I tried the ignoring but that doesn't work because he just follows me and looks up with these eyes....lol.
Just keep trying, something will work. |
