Emily spins and jumps up and down when asking for something and yaps a lot. Where Phoebe just looks and waits until we give her whatever Emily is getting. Phoebe takes so nicely where Emily grabs.
My concern right this moment is that Phoebe is losing her hair, as it changes colour. Her hair on her head was quiet long when it was the blonde colour and now has changed to a sort of tan. Under the grey silver on her body she is a sort of tan colour again. Should I have her hair cut, but not now as it is +- 10degrees here as it is our winter months now. She does rub her nose on the carpet and scrathes at lot. I have tried all kinds of shampoo and nothing stops the scratching. On her tummy she gets red welts and am I to worry about it. They both eat dry food during the day but Daddy feeds them wet food for breakfast, +- a heaped table spoon. |
Welcome to YorkieTalk! There are a lot of very nice (and knowledgeable) people here that will be able to offer suggestions.
It sounds to me like Phoebe-Leigh has allergies. Hopefully, it's a food allergy and not environmental. You said you feed dry food (but hubby sneaks in wet food

) ... please look at the ingredients on the dry food and give us the first 5 or so ingredients. That will tell us what the major ingredients are, and if any of them could be the source of her allergy.
As far as Emily-Rose is concerned, she sounds like a normal Yorkie to me! You may be able to teach her some "manners" by making her sit/stay before you give her a treat ...
By the way, I love their names: very old-school and romantic!
