Pixie is recovering from LP surgery and her sisters are helping her get better. Whenever Cali gets to be by her she kisses her. Roxie always sleeps on Pixie but since Pixie has had to be confined she couldn't. I took Pixie in to the surgeon today because her leg looked red and she wasn't using it. The redness is bruising and blood pooled underneath. Nothing to worry about. Of course while were there Pixie stood for a bit and walked more than she has. The surgeon showed me some simple range of motion exercises to do with her. I had also told her at the time of surgery,that Pixie and Roxie were really close and when could I safely put them together to help Pixie survive her confinement. So when I was there today, the surgeon asked if Pixie's sister was staying with Pixie. I said not yet, she felt we could let them be together now. Since Roxie went in the crate with her a little bit ago, Pixie's breathing is normal and she seems so much more relaxed. Looks like a little sisterly love is the best medicine.
