My feelings are this....sometimes it doesn't matter what "GOOD" lines you have in your pedigree, is it up front in the pedigree or is it 3 or more generations back? How does one know that just because you have a good pedigree way back in your dog doesn't have high bile acids unless you test? What about LP or LCP without testing? How does one know if that "good" pedigree didn't have Liver Shunt or the above health issues and was stopped but you happen to have that dog in your pedigree before it was discovered without testing? Liver shunt doesn't have a marker but it's nice to know when you breed a pair at least the dam and sire are clear...Just saying...
Testing is very important to be a reputable breeder besides just saying to guarantee...Testing is help in your breeding program and then that is where the guarantee comes if it's something were to crop up...Just saying...
