With his trachea issues why put him through that yet, and they all agreed. I ask is the cancer risk 50/50, they said no less. It was 9pm and he threw up his small breakfast whole that was given at 5am. so nothing was digesting. he actually was dripping liquid from his nose, due to all the fluid. They brought him out to us to say goodnight, all hooked up to iv's, and his head was standing straight up with his blue bow just bopping so beautifully, he is such a trooper, he wants to live, and God willing he will, when his little doggie will to live ever goes, then I will call it quits. When I get him home I will have to do massive searching on this IBD.
well my dex has IBD so I can help you with that. Ibd can lead to lymphangiectasia too. Ibd dogs can have high amylase and lipase on blood work and can test high on cpli test. If diarrhea it is in large intestines and if vomitting it is in small intestines and if doing both the whole tract is inflamed. Usually they do not have the off blood work your describing though so I would still be questioning the lymphangiectasia over ibd. Has your dog always had bouts of vomitting or diarrhea? It is best to have them on a limited ingredient die so this will be key. What about all the stuff on the fecal though? This seems to be more than just ibd but maybe having underlying ibd it made this all worse when he took the panacur and all the meds. IBD dogs should not have nsaids like rimadyl, metacam, etc and you have to be very careful with steroids as well.

Scoping would be tricky with him for firm diagnosis as he has CT - that is a tough call as the endoscopy can affect his trachea

what are they saying is method of treatment for now? I would use tylan powder and no steroids as my fear is still if fungal since they cannot do biopsy of intestines I would be afraid of using steroids on this. Did they rule out histoplasmosis and lymphangiectasia? you need to ask them that as his blood work was way out of whack and that is not usually the case with ibd.

also ask is he under the care of an internal medicine specialist as this is important as well? I just want him to get over this quickly and I still have some questions on this due to that blood work and fecal.

ibd info
