It could be a number of things. It could be that the pup is sick, or it could be that she (Candy) wants to be near you but doesn't want to leave the puppies, so she's bringing them to you. Of course I'm speculating.
Have you taken the pups in to see the vet yet? 3-5 days old is when they should be taken in to do dewclaws and dock tails anyway.
