Why do you think Baxter needs a playmate? Maybe he does, but I would be cautious. Too many Yorkies like being the only dog, and they don't want to share their people. I know many people who got another dog for companionship with their other dog, and it was the wrong move. Not always, of course, but it happens often. Be careful.
I really thought about getting Edie a companion, but after observing her with other dogs, I realized she probably liked being the top dog in our house.
Baxter's age might have some bearing on whether this is a good idea or not. If he is very young, it could work out fine. |
