Mizz I am and have been a stylist for over 15 years. I specialized in color from the start. I will be very honest with you. Getting a strawberry blonde color on your own is very hard to do. Esp from a brown. Your going to pull more of an orange/copper color. Also be aware that red shades fade faster then any other color. What that means in simple terms is it will become dull rather quickly.

Let me also tell you something I see time and time again.

Woman comes into the shop and says I tried to color my hair and sits a box on the counter. At this point it becomes a corrective color process. B/c anything that shes done to her has must be removed before you can fix the color to something she wants. You can't just color over color to get it lighter. It just doesn't work.

Save your pennies and start with some highlights. They are much easier to maintain cost wise then all over color.

Also, if that didn't steer you away. In almost all cases of store bought color (unless you bleach your hair first) you can't go from a brown to a blonde.
