Don't forget, that your local rescues need foster homes too! This way the pups get sprung outta jail and is on his or her way of getting a spoiled life like they deserve! And you get to help them, one by one! If you are in a steady situation, contact your local (reputable!) rescue organization and apply to become a foster mom (or dad). A lot of rescues are overloaded now bc of the economy and they need help! Even if you can't foster, you can volunteer for transport. Every little thing you can do will help.

So far I have helped one surrendered yorkie find her furever home, and I tell you it is the best feeling ever! Now my home is open for one more foster in the future who needs help!
