Definitely Pergo. We had pergo in our old house and I believe it was the grade 8... never scratched, no problems!
Bought a new home, put laminate from lumber liquidators... I don't know if it is just this batch but it is horrible! The grade (thickness) is a 12 but we have had so many problems with it scratching. The dogs claws, chairs...
Good luck! Laminate is a great choice just becareful and look for reviews on whichever one your looking at.
