This has been discussed numerous times here....I think a lot of it depends on your lifestyle. I personally prefer 1 dog because I can take her everywhere. If I want to fly somewhere I can take her. Also it's easier to get someone to watch 1 dog as opposed to 2 dogs. The other thing with 2 dogs is that I think they get into more trouble and teach each other to bark - at least this was the experience my next door neighbor had. When she had 1 yorkie he was very quiet but once she got another they just barked non-stop. If you are home a lot and do not travel then it it is probably GREAT to have 2 dogs. Also, if you are married then when you travel you can each bring 1 dog with you. There are a lot of pros and cons.....but think it through because you don't want to regret getting another one later.
