What worries me is that the Biewers aren't standard - they look like yorkie/biewer crosses to me. Plus the only accredited Biewer club in America is the BBCA. I'd get a pup from one of the club's accredited breeders.

You will have to live with the puppy for years and people can be incredibly nice when they want to sell something. These clubs are there to regulate their breeders and if a breeder isn't accredited by the right club, there is a reason for it.

I have to respectfully disagree with this post.. anyone who knows me knows that I although I TOTALLY disagree with the BTCA, what they stand for and what they have done to dismantle the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier here in this country.. the dogs on this mans website are gorgeous.. they are exactly what Biewer Yorkshire Terriers are supposed to look like! They are SUPPOSED to look like yorkies.. they ARE yorkies.. they are a tri colored yorkie, nothing more.. they are to have the same structure, ear set, size, muzzle, head.. everything but the color of a yorkie and this mans dogs have that. The little male he has on there is stunning, I haven't seen many nicer males in a long while. (granted, it's only a photo.. but he looks wonderful). There is no such thing as a Yorkie/ Biewer cross.. a yorkie/Biewer cross is called a Biewer.. or a Yorkie... Read the Biewer standard, his dogs would fit it perfectly.

If you look at the dogs he has, they come from the very same lines that most of us have.. they are the same exact lines, same breeders.. same dogs.. NO different! These come from lines of pure bred Biewer Yorkies.. and the ones I saw on his site look like it.. no need to claim these are a mix of anything.

Also, as far as I know, there is no one accredited Biewer Club in the states, just like there is no one accredited Biewer club in Germany.. I agree with you that the BBCA is probably the best club in the states at the present time, but they are no more accredited than the other clubs.

Don't want to ruffle feathers but also, I don't want misinformation out there.. there is enough of that already. If I am wrong on this accreditation, please correct me somebody..

Thanks

Diana
