The shelters in AZ were wonderful with Yorkie rescue in getting the dogs out of the shelter situation as fast as possible. Yorkies do not do well at all in a shelter situation..
Maybe the shelter tried but all the rescue's were full...then again I have seen shelters need the $$$ so they will hold onto these little ones...sad..
