I agree. It can give a better idea. But it can be interpreted according and the lab will tell the vet if it was lipemic, etc. Certainly not a bad thing to do, but not necessary either in most routine cases.
That is probably what I'd do if we went to the vet in the morning, but we usually go at night. Not going to fast her all day when her vet doesn't have a problem with me feeding her.
BTW, I don't fast for bloodwork either.
