One yorkie vs two Hi, I am considering adopting a second Yorkie. This little boy was abandoned in front of a vet's office with a note that his owner was homeless and could not take care of him. It appears that he had never been to the vet and he just had the last of his 3 teeth pulled. I met him today with my own yorkie, Rocky, who is 13-1/2. They did not fight and I was even able to walk them together but they seemed to have virtually no interest in each other and Rocky just continually scrabbled for me to hold him, just as he does when my granddaughter comes to visit. I'm not sure how he would act if this little man came into our house but I do not want to make him miserable. He's been alone since my poodle had to be put to sleep 18 months ago. Not sure what to do here. I have to admit that I didn't feel an immediate bond with this doggie either. Not sure why. Any advice from anyone? I work full time and wanted him to have a friend but would it be better off to leave things as they are and allow Rocky to be the only dog? |
