I'm so sorry on your loss. It's not easy when you breed and lose the pups.

Breeding a girl for the first time at the age of 6 is putting your girl in jeaporady. You breed after the 2nd heat or at 18 months of age (very dependent on maturity level of your girl). However, you never breed a girl for the first time after the age of 3. You are asking for trouble. Their breeding career should end after the age of 5. As each girl gets older you may encounter more medical problems.
