I forgot that she'd had her vaccinations (parvo, distemper) a week earlier in that spot - so the emergency vet said that she could be reacting to it - like her antibodies were trying to fight off the vaccine.

It's still extremely hard and swollen and hasn't reduced in size even though she's on antibiotics, anti inflammatories, and we're doing hot packs 4 times a day.

Has this happened to anyone else's babies? We have a follow up w/our regular vet today, but I'm so worried it hasn't reduced in size.

It doesn't appear to bother her at all and she has no pain when I touch it. It's just this huge lump. The ER vet also took a sample of it and looked at it under the scope - and said the chance that it is cancerous or anything of the sort is highly, highly unlikely.

I just feel so bad for my poor girl and want this lump gone I'm scared to get vaccines now for the babies in general.
Andy swells before the needle is even out .They give him a benadryle shot as well . . You can't touch it for about a week he cries . Vet told me to keep childrens bubblegum flavor benadryle at home . gave me a sirynge marked where I am to full it to .I hate needle time and so does he
